Food and snacks,
the answer to pet lovers

Since 2011 we have put our money into one question: what actually belongs in the bowl. Complete meals, training treats and supplements for cats, dogs and birds — made in small batches and sold through people who know your pet's name.

About us

From our family to yours

Cous started as a single-recipe operation run out of a rented kitchen in Selangor, cooking for the dogs of people we already knew. The questions those owners asked — why this grain, why that fat level, what happens when my puppy turns one — became the brief for everything we have made since.

Cats, dogs and birds have genuinely different needs, so we treat them as three separate jobs rather than one product line with the label swapped. A cat needs taurine it cannot synthesise. A bird will pick the sunflower out and starve itself of everything else. A growing puppy needs calcium held inside a narrow band. Getting those details right is most of the work.

How we make it

Dishing up health and happiness

Four things we will not trade away, even when it would be cheaper to. They are the reason a bag of Cous costs what it costs.

  1. 01

One named protein, first on the list

If the bag says lamb, lamb is the first ingredient by weight. No splitting a grain across three lines to push it down the panel.

  2. 02

Oils added after the heat, not before

Omega-3 breaks down at extrusion temperatures. Ours is coated on once the kibble has cooled, which is slower and costs more.

  3. 03

Every batch tested, every batch traceable

Moisture, fat, protein and pathogen screening on all 38 recipes. The lot code on the bag maps back to the day and the supplier.

  4. 04

    Stockists first, marketplaces later

We sell through shops and clinics that can answer questions across the counter. That is where a nervous first-time owner actually gets help.
